Hi, My name is Michelle Cobb. I am a Contemporary Worship Leader for our 9:30am Sunday services. Check out what we will be singing next Sunday in Worship, or some of my top Worship picks!

Here's the Worship Setlist for Next Sunday in the 10:45 Contemporary Service. This is the service that we will send to the New Worship Site when that happens! Exciting times to be part of this church family!

Service Opportunities and Descriptions

Contemporary Worship Musician - The worship musician is responsible for leading the congregation in worship with their instrument and their posture on stage and off stage.  


Accountable to: The Contemporary Worship Leader

Time Commitment: 6+ hours per week scheduled: 1 hour pre-rehearsal prep; 2 hour rehearsal; 1 hour post-rehearsal practice; 3 hours on Sunday 


Responsibilities include:

• Learning worship songs prior to rehearsal night, listening for your instrumental parts, so we can effectively work through the arrangement as a group.

• Working between the weeknight practice and Sunday morning run-through to learn parts well for God’s glory.

• Willingness to continue training to be a part of an effective worship team.



Contemporary Worship Vocalist - The worship vocalist is responsible for leading the congregation vocally, with a posture of worship, on stage and off stage.


Accountable to: The Contemporary Worship Leader

Time Commitment: 6+ hours per week scheduled: 1 hour pre-rehearsal prep; 2 hour rehearsal; 1 hour post-rehearsal practice; 3 hours on Sunday


Responsibilities include:

• Learning worship songs prior to rehearsal night, listening for your vocal parts, so we can effectively work through the arrangement as a group.

• Working between the weeknight practice and Sunday morning run-through to learn parts well for God’s glory.

• Willingness to continue training to be a part of an effective worship team.



Projection Operator - Video Projection Operators will be responsible for ensuring that all visual aspects of the worship experience are displayed on the screens.


Accountable To: Media Director, Pastor, and Worship Leaders

Time Commitment: Approximately 1-3 hours per week, as scheduled on Sundays 


Responsibilities include:

  • Start announcement slides/pre-service music 10 minutes before service
  • Start Service Countdown 5 minutes before service
  • Display lyrics to songs during praise and worship
  • Display scriptures and sermon content slides during sermon
  • Cue special videos
  • Report issues/errors to Media Director, Pastor, or Worship Leaders



Sound & Lighting Operator - Sound & Lighting Operator will be responsible for engineering each worship experience to create an atmosphere that is conducive to worship and quality communication.


Accountable To: Media Director, Pastor, and Worship Leaders

Time Commitment: Approximately 1-3 hours per week, as scheduled on Sundays 


Responsibilities include:

  • Set pre-service music sound levels 10 minutes before service
  • Set up microphones and monitors for current service needs
  • Check battery levels in microphones and replace as necessary
  • Engineer and mix sound during worship experiences
  • Control lighting during worship experiences
  • Coordinate and perform sound checks with Worship Leaders
  • Troubleshoot sound issues
  • Count congregation attendance during the sermon and record
  • Report issues/errors to Media Director, Pastor, or Worship Leaders



Camera Operators - Camera Operators will be responsible for recording of Sunday morning service on video in the Sanctuary. 


Accountable To: Media Director, Pastor, and Worship Leaders

Time Commitment: Approximately 1-3 hours per week, as scheduled on Sundays 


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure cameras are on and operating 5 minutes prior to service
  • Coordinate with Lighting operator for appropriate production lighting
  • Record services with cameras provided
  • Operate switcher and direct cameras as trained
  • Label final video as trained
  • Report issues/errors to Media Director, Pastor, or Worship Leaders

Thursday 

6:30-8:30 - Full band practice


Sunday 

8:15 - Meet for final run-through of service

9:30 - Worship Service in Main Sanctuary

10:45 - Worship Service in Fellowship Hall
