A/V Team - This team controls the lights, video screens, cameras and audio for each Sunday's worship experience. Training is provided and no previous experience is needed. Opportunities are available for all 4 services on Sunday mornings.
Adult Ministry – Facilitators coordinate biblical based groups of different types and sizes. We offer topical short-term groups, community groups, and Adult Sunday School classes. Coaches are available to provide facilitators with support and resources. Groups typically meet for one hour per week. Topical and Community groups start in the Fall and Spring. Adult Sunday School classes are ongoing.
Care Ministry – This group provides compassionate Christian care for people experiencing a challenging season of life. There are a variety of ways to serve, such as visiting homes, writing cards, running errands, providing food, assisting with yard work, providing transportation, and faithfully praying.
Contemporary Worship Band - The worship team leads us in worship on Sunday morning and includes vocalists and instrumentalists. Weeknight rehearsal is part of the fun as we do life together while serving our congregation.
Holiday Decorating Team – This team is for the 2018 Advent/Christmas season and the 2019 Easter season. The team will help coordinate seasonal decorations; including design, placement, and removal. Advent season begins December 2, 2018. Easter is April 21, 2019.
Hospitality/Welcoming Team - This group handles a wide range of tasks to make our Sunday morning experience awesome! These tasks can range from cheerfully greeting people at the front door to serving communion, or working behind the scenes like prepping the coffee and vegetable trays.
First Kids - Kids Team Group Leaders - We meet from 6:15-7:30 pm for 3rd-5th grade the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. We handle all the curriculum and teaching activities/materials. Your main job is to help lead discussions around student/child related messages!
First Kids Sunday Small Group Leader - We are gearing up for the 2018-2019 school year and desperately need volunteers to help lead Sunday School classes. We offer Sunday School for children beginning at age 2 and going through 5th grade. Curriculum and materials will be provided, as well as support from the Children’s Ministry Director, and other volunteers. You can make a difference in the lives of our youngest generation and helping them understand what a life with God means!
IMPACT Bus Drivers - Have your class B CDL and are willing to get a passenger license as well? We need you to help get our students from place to place!
IMPACT Design Team - About once a month we need new sets for our new series in IMPACT. If you like being creative and like designing based around themes, this is the place for you!
IMPACT Set Up and Tear Down Teams - This would be helping set up tables and chairs or maybe moving around some classrooms to make sure our rooms are ready for our students! Set Up is from 3:00-4:00 and Tear Down is from 7:30-8:00 on Wednesdays during the school year.
IMPACT Small Group Leader - IMPACT small group leaders main job is to have fun with our students and help lead them in discussions about faith topics during group time. We meet Wednesdays during the school year for hang out w/concessions from 5:45-6:15 and then the fun starts at 6:15 and ends at 7:30.
IMPACT Special Event Sponsor - We always need people to come hang out with students on our special events. These are overnight trips and vary from event to event. It might be a weekend retreat or a week long mission trip.
Outreach Team - This team makes decisions about outreach projects for the congregation and community. There are also opportunities to lead an Outreach project on a Second Saturday or another day or evening.
Traditional Music - The Sunrise Singers and Chancel Choir perform during the traditional services August-May. Special music, both vocal and instrumental is welcomed year round.
Wednesday Night Door Greeters - This will begin in early September, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Great opportunity to serve for parents dropping off kids or anyone looking for a fun easy way to serve. Hopefully only serve once every month to two months, depending on how many can help. Leader Sue Hevalow
